Last year's very popular Origami table is coming back to our Spring Fair!!!  Experts will be on hand to guide you to make one of these beautiful paper designs of your own or take home a pre-made origami creations made by one of our talents Orde School parents.

Thank you so much for sharing your incredible talent with our community.

Can't wait to try this out again this Sunday from 11:00am - 3:00pm.

Toronto Marathon Road Closures

Letting everyone know that if you are planning on driving to the Spring Fair on Sunday you should be aware of some road closures that will be happening in the area as a result of the Toronto Marathon.

Although it seems the Toronto Marathon will be avoiding the downtown core, and it doesn't look like Dundas / College Streets or University Avenue are going to be closed but depending on where you are coming from, you might run into some road blocks around Front Street and Bayview Ave.

Orde Day Care represents with a Tattoo parlor

Get ready to roll up your sleeves this Sunday at the Orde Day Care tattoo parlour.  Our school day care will on hand to delight our kids with a variety of tattoo designs.  Another great reason to join us this Sunday, May 6 between 11:00am - 3:00pm.

Reusable Water Bottles have arrived

The Orde Street Public School reusable water bottles have arrived!  Don't forget to pick up yours for $5ea. at the Spring Fair this Sunday, May 6 from 11:00am - 3:00pm.  

We would encourage you to use the filling stations located by the basement bathrooms to keep you hydrated during the fair and beyond, as we head into warmer weather.  

We will have some sharpies on hand to put your name on it right on the spot to avoid it going astray.  

Shout out to our amazing Orde school staff

On the eve of International Workers Day 2018, we wanted to recognize the continuous support of the Orde Street School faculty and staff.  From helping out behind the scenes, to signing up to volunteer their valuable time on the day of the Spring Fair, to donating amazing prizes for the raffle - we are so appreciative of everything.  Our school is such a fantastic place because of all you do to support our kids in their educational growth and beyond.  Thank you! 

Busy getting ready

The sun was shining this past weekend as we were prepping for the activities that will make the 2018 Orde School Spring Fair an amazing event for the whole family.  

Raffle prizes were picked up and wrapped, games were dusted off and mended, balloons were filled, banners were hung ... 

We are almost ready!!!  Are you?

T minus 7 days

Exactly one week left until we open the doors on our 2018 Spring Fair.  The support this year has been immense and we will continue to highlight some of the wonderful things we have in store for next Sunday.

Face painting thanks to University Settlement

#TBT Remember the Taiyaki at last year?

The Taiyaki booth is coming back this year!
These delicious fish-shape cakes with a rich chocolate filling will be available at the fair again this year.

Exciting new inflatables for 2018

Listening to the kids comments from last year we are doubling up the slide so that there is less of a wait to use it.

This slide has two lanes for double the fun! Two people can be sliding at the same time, as two people are on their way up for their turn.  This will keep our lines small and the smiles big!

For those that might shy away from heights, we are also including a 7 element obstacle course perfect for all ages and for siblings to travel through together.

Count the seven rows of obstacles, hence the name 7 element! A great obstacle course for backyards or high volume events.  Race to the finish!

Raffle is Back

We are so excited to announce that we are bringing back our very popular Orde Spring Fair Raffle this year.  Have a look at the amazing prizes we have secured.

In Orde Street Public School's ongoing efforts  to build awareness and education around the importance of protecting our environment, we are happy to announce that we will not be selling bottled water at our Spring Fair held on May 6, 2018 from 11:00am -3:00pm.

We will have our new Orde Street Dragons reusable water bottles for sale to allow everyone to stay hydrated.  

Come to the Fair, buy a reusable water bottle, and use the water bottle filling stations located in the basement.

Spring Fair Performances | Highland6 Dancers and Open Mat Mixed Martial Arts

#TBT Looking back at our 2017 Spring Fair and the great performance from the Highland6 Dancers.  We are honored to have them back to preform again this year and grateful for their generous donation of a gift certificate for our raffle.

Countdown to the Spring Fair

We are three weeks from our big day and we are excited to invite the community to join us in the celebrations.  We are finalizing our list of raffle prizes and lists of games and will post very soon.  Stay tuned.

It's not too late to get involved - We need your help to make this event a success!

Raffle Donations

We are looking for donations of merchandise or gift certificates to be included as prizes in our Raffle. We are hoping you can reach out to businesses you frequent, any personal contacts you may have or your employer to secure these items. Official sponsorship request letters on school letterhead providing details of the event are available upon request to ordespringfair@gmail.com

“Show” participants

Do you belong to a karate, dance or gymnastics club? Do you have connections to a business who would be interested in showcasing their services to a captive audience? We are looking to enhance the activities at the Spring Fair by injecting some live performances. This would be a great opportunity to bring attention to your club.

Prizes

We are looking to collect small prizes (unopened toys, art supplies, note pads, books, gift certificates, or similar that can be used as prizes for the various activities being planned for that day.

Finally and MOST importantly we need Volunteers both in the weeks leading up to the Spring Fair or on the day of the event. Please contact us by email if you are interested in assisting in any capacity-collection of donations, coordinating community participation, supervising an event or a concession stand, event set- up or take-down---anything and everything! The benefit of volunteering are tremendous providing a wonderful opportunity to meet other Orde families and contributing valuable time essential to the Spring Fair’s success!
